Root Canal Treatments
A root canal is nothing to be afraid of. Our professional staff is well-versed in performing root canal treatments on a variety of cases. Dentists may recommend a root canal procedure when there is inflammation or infection in the roots of a tooth. This infection may be the result of an injury or of a severe, untreated cavity.
The dentist will remove the infection by carefully removing the infected pulp and disinfecting the root canal of the tooth. Then, a seal will be inserted to fill the space. During this appointment, the dentist will use a temporary filling, while waiting for the permanent crown to come in.
A few weeks later, the dentist will finish the treatment by placing a permanent crown on top of the tooth.
